Warning: This article at Newsweek is stupid. It’s written by someone who is obviously not a very good journalist and who has an agenda–or at least whose editors have an agenda. It’s countered well by this article and this one–the latter by the inestimable and brilliant Mark Steyn. What a great writer….
The bottom line is I have an agenda, too. I am so fed up with global warming alarmism and silliness. One of the top stories of recent years was how 1998 was the hottest year in history. It was all over the newspapers and the evening news. There were articles about the dire consequences of it and we were told it was just a matter of time if we didn’t turn off our SUV’s and air conditioners.
Well….
Turns out, with as little fanfare as possible, NASA has had to totally revise their hottest years on record….downward. A lot. A Canadian scientist proved to them their errors and the result is that the hottest year on record is 1934. Not 1998. Not 2005. Nor even 2000, 2001 or any other recent year. 1934. As Mark Steyn points out–that was a true year of SUV driving and gas guzzling, eh?
Yet Newsweek says that “deniers” are a well-funded machine.” Yeah–and global warming alarmists aren’t well funded at all, right?
Until and unless people are actually willing to get off their axes and stop grinding away at what has become a church with as much faith as the most thumping of southern Bible-Thumpers, then global warming will continue to be nothing but an agenda driven discussion. And my agenda is right here for all to see: Global Warming as a theory is a lie, a swindle and a load of hogwash. Believing otherwise is ignorant…
