The articles are a poppin’ up all over and you can see my latest for the local paper here. What’s fun about working as a stringer, a sort of p/t reporter, is the sheer breadth of stories. There’s the aforementioned feature piece on WWII vets sharing their experiences with students at our school and then there’s the piece I finished today on the new management running the recreation and camping facilities at Lake Piru. Then there are the wine articles I have going for Wine Country This Week and then some other irons in the fire, the likes of which I am not quite at liberty to discuss. That’s OK, though. I still teach full time as well and somehow, I’m able to keep going. But I confess, I am a little tired. So far, the blog here has not suffered a shortage. It’s as I say, the more you write, the more you write.
Well, so far. There may come a collapsing point at which I’ve just toasted myself to a crispy brown hue and and crumble up into flaky bits, scattering into the wind.
Mmmmmm…..flaky bits.
The racking and bottling tomorrow, though. We’ll put about 30 gallons of Tempranillo to bottles and then rack the rest over. It’ll be a long day, but also a lot of fun. I suppose I should get some sleep and I don’t imagine that will be very hard, actually.
Meanwhile, onward and upward.
